Decent list, but no new coasters this year.

There is a new dark ride- Haunted Castle. It’s a Gosetto according to the list. Anyone know who owns it? Hoping they don’t have a “no singles” rule.

As always, glad Magnum and Space Roller will be present.

Idk. Some rides from last year won’t be coming either like Khao, Genesis, Yo Yo, Sky Wheel, Air Flyer, etc.

I visited the fair today. The midway is definitely quite different this year. Many rides who always get the same spots have been moved- Magnum has never had a different spot since it first started coming to that fair in 2006, until now. That whole aisle that Magnum used to be in is now just games. Very strange. (Magnum is now in the Fighter’s old spot, and Fighter has moved.) the midway also seems smaller (less amount of rides). Still quite large enough, but definitely less of a choice than there had been.
The new dark ride Haunted Castle from Gosetto is quite good. It’s two levels and has about 10 stunts. It’s probably the best traveling dark ride I’ve ever been on. Good, working stunts, and no light shining in from the outside.
Space Roller was running short backwards only cycles, but still an amazing ride as usual. Got 8 rides on it today. I guess the big sign on the back wall is gone for good as it hasn’t been present the past 3 years.
Magnum was running the usual, and seems to have a new cover for the center of the ride- still green and energy drink themed, but different then the previous one.
New York New York walk through fun house was great as usual, and Rock N Roll fun house decent.
Also saw several shows- Alligator show, Circus Incredible, Lady Houdini and also the acrobat show. All 4 were definitely worth seeing.

Also it’s interesting that this year they’re not using the armbands that the operators have to scan each time you use them. Those were annoying and didn’t work so well during the daylight.

I also visited the fair, opening day. Definitely agree that the Midway feel smaller as far as ride count. Definitely far less Ferris wheels than in the past! I hate how Space Roller is being run. I liked it better when it would change direction and the speeds... Now it seems to just go full speed around 3 times and that's it. I feel like Magnum's cycle gets shorter each year too.

The Space Roller speeds are okay still, but the ride length has definitely decreased this year. Even with the one direction it’s typically been doing the last few years at the state fair and Strawberry Festival, they still were giving it a lengthy ride until this year. I also wish they’d run it just forward instead of just backward if I had to choose one. That being said, Space Roller is still amazing and I feel lucky to be able to continue to have opportunities to ride it. The ride is about 22 years old now and I wonder how much time it will have left. A lot of fun memories riding the Space Roller at several locations and also operating another Top Scan in the past.
Magnum seems to always give short cycles. Unfortunately that ride is very hit or miss on how goood a ride it gives. Longer rides would give a better opportunity for some good flips each ride. I feel lucky to have the opportunity to ride this rare type of ride as well every year. This one is probably close to the same age as Space Roller and a ride of this size has to be extremely costly to travel with and run. How these independent rides that are booked into large shows like the Space Roller and Magnum make money is still a mystery to me. But I’m glad they do or we wouldn’t have the opportunity to ride them otherwise.
