Two different things.

I was at holiday world with my youth group on Tuesday and had to do the walk of shame on thunderbird. I did on raven though.

Friday the county fair was going on and my wife met me at the fair with our three year old. Up until this point the biggest thing she has rode was the guppie ride, big slide and carousel. First ride she wanted to do was the kiddie swings. She eventually did the wacky worm coaster and bumper cars also.

There might be hope she will be okay with riding big rides earlier in her life then I was. She wanted to ride stuff she was too little for.

The walk of shame gives me motivation to get back up to riding my bike again. I was up to 15-20 miles per ride two kids and three years ago.

Eating a healthy diet does more to reduce your weight than exercising.

I've adopted a health life style of eating more fruits and vegetables. Joel Fuhrman is the one who started it. You can search YouTube for his videos or look at his page here.
https://www.drfuhrman.com/

What you basically need to do is become a Nutritarian, someone who seeks out vegetables and fruit. We're not telling you what you can't eat, but what you SHOULD eat.

When you adopt this lifestyle, the produce section of the grocery store is where most of your shopping will be done.

I could post walls of text of what you need to do, but just watch this 20 minute video and your eyes will open.

I can post a bunch more. But start with that one and start eating big salads as your main meal. Juices and smoothies are also good.

The unfortunate side affect of my job is I don’t exercise (though I want to) enough and my job is a 8 hour job just sitting. It is also hard to do any meal prep on my days off trying to get time with my two daughters. Then the only two options for eating near work is subway and a Mexican place. I work in between corn fields. I also don’t get a lunch break (I can eat on company time as long as I got food there or there is two of us and o can leave for five minutes).

Frankly I love to ride bikes, before my daughters were born starting three years ago, I was riding 15-20 miles at a time. I was in the 260’s, probably close to 300 now.

Sounds difficult, but there are a few options. At my job we have a weight loss challenge. It runs for 3 months. To get the weight off, I basically have no breakfast and a piece of fruit for lunch. I do drink Mean Green Juice in the morning, which is a whole topic in itself. Lunch is an apple or orange, can also bring nuts. Then a normal dinner.

People will say that breakfast is the most important meal. That's crazy because I'm never that hungry in the morning and there are studies that show fasting is good. So I call it a partial fast.

There's going to be some pain to lose the weight, but you get used to it and you won't be hungry. It's a lifestyle change, you don't need a huge breakfast and lunch. If you do visit those restaurants, have a veggie sub or veggie tacos. You have to take in less calories than what you are now.

It's going to take 3 months for the weight to come off, and then the body fights to get it back. If your daughters can help, have them make salads by chopping up the veggies. Start with Kale, then add onions, bell peppers, tomato, avocado, carrots, broccoli. These are high nutrient items that your body craves. When you get nutrients, you won't be hungry.

Forks Over Knives Review.

I make Mean Green Juice.

For all these movies and things I've mentioned, you can search YouTube for more videos.

I saw Joel Fuhrman on tv about a year or so ago. Seemed like a lot of the stuff he talked about mad e a lot of sense. I still have a link saved with more info on his stuff. I’ve been trying to eat healthier, too. Nothing super extreme, just smarter. Stopped buying soda and juice for the house, though I do still drink it at restaurants (though I choose water more often there as well).

Having to leave a ride because you can't get the restraints secured due to size.

Been four years since this post and finally made it back to Holiday World since the walk of shame. Two years after this post I hit the heaviest I ever weighed. Then a year after that I was told I only have one kidney and it isn't functioning properly. I have since started walking or riding my bike more often and am down 30 pounds at least since 2021. My wife along with her parents all went to Holiday World on Wednesday and the girls loved all the rides they rode and the water park stuff they did. I pretty sure I didn't fit on liberty launch back in 2019 but did this week. Still a long way to go before I'm happy where I am weight wise but progress. Also am still nervous on other hidden health conditions so I didn't try to ride a roller coaster yet due to that and wait times.

Glad you’re making progress!
