You and I just missed each other at CGA! I went on July 2nd and then again on
the evening of July 4th for fireworks (having spent the first part of the day
at Gilroy Gardens). Going to CGA before it closed was a suggestion by my
husband, and that´s the whole reason we did any California parks for the
first time this year. We only ended up doing three on our trip: CGA, Gilroy,
and Santa Cruz (which was a longtime ambition finally realized for me). We
did not go to Discovery Kingdom as I usually don´t patronize marine parks
or non-AZA-accredited zoos, but I admit it hurt to deliberately pass up all
the coasters there, especially since I´m sitting just below 300 in my
coaster count (which I realize is peanuts to you and many others, but
represents many years in the hobby for me).
