Went to holiday world yesterday for the first time in a few years. My previous trips has provided affordable descent food. A bacon cheeseburger and fries cost about 8-9 dollars after tax. It was actually descent food also. Yesterday it was almost 12 dollars for a no frills cheeseburger and crappy fries.

I did hear that Plymouth Rock cafe was still descent food and priced. I didn’t get to eat there as I was there with my church and the three middle schoolers I was chaperoning didn’t bring enough money for it.

That stinks. I have noticed the past few years that a burger or chicken sandwich and fries meal has gone up in price pretty substantially at a lot of parks. $12 or so seems to be the norm now. Plymouth Rock had some really good food when I was last there in 2015, one of the best park meals I’ve had, glad to hear at least that one is still decent, not that I’ll be back there anytime soon, most likely,

And the bummer is that there's really no restaurants in the area. In my case, I stopped at Whole Foods in Louisville (Kentucky Kingdom) and bought some cold pasta that went in a cooler. If you arrive HW early, then you can park in the lot near the gate. I came out to my car and ate lunch. If you're dragging a family, this probably wouldn't work. But if you're by yourself, it can be done, just means more walking back and forth.

We stopped at Holiday World in June on our way to ACE Con in CA. I hadnt' been at the park in about 12 years. I was shocked at the price of the food! Plus, it wasn't all that good either. We had a bunch of different things, the chinese and pizza up front wasn't that good. We actually paid as much for 4 as we do at places like Six Flags or Cedar Fair parks!

Luckily the wood coasters were running well and I finally rode Thunderbird! The coasters were great.
