Post by s***@aol.comA) not a roller coaster
B) a steel roller coaster
C) a wood roller coaster
I'm going with A. While I do have certain rules for my list (the biggest
being that it must actually coast, hence no powered "coasters"), my general
rules are to go with my gut feeling and common sense.
If I have to go way out of my way with little technicalities to convince
myself or others that something is a coaster, then it probably isn't. If I
have to look at the mechanisms to get an answer, then that's not the right
answer for me. What does it FEEL like? It feels like a dark ride, to me.
Certainly more like most dark rides than most coasters. That's my gut
feeling.
What would the average non-enthusiast call it if you didn't tell them about
any rules or details of the ride? They'd say a dark ride, if they knew the
terminology, or a haunted house or something like that. I can't imagine
that even 1% of the people who rode it would call it a roller coaster.
That's my common sense.
So, to me, by both of my main criteria, it's not a coaster.
But my biggest rule is that it's your list, and you can count them however
you want. But I reserve the right to make fun of you for it!
CreHos!!!
You're ALL CreHos! ;-)
And would you believe that I haven't actually updated my list in 8 years?
I could start CreHos anonymous!
