A Ride to Remember for Three Kids at Canada's Wonderland
August 24, 2003 - 0:41 am
By: Troy White

The Ministry of Labour continues to investigate how three children
were injured in a ride accident at Canada's Wonderland Saturday. The
kids were on the Jimmy Neutron Brainwasher ride when an unspecified
problem occurred. Park officials say its a flat ride, secured to the
ground, with a number of outstretched arms that have vehicles attached
to them. One of those vehicles detached and fell a couple of feet to
the ground. One of the kids was airlifted to Toronto's Hospital for
Sick Children -- but police describe all of the injuries as minor. The
youngsters are between the ages of 10 and 13. The park remains open,
however the Jimmy Neutron Brainwasher ride is closed while the
investigation is conducted.

The accident happened on a small ride from Preston and Barbieri (I think
that's who built it...). I can't find reference to it on their website,
though. Kevin Reid has some photographs of it on his website:
