Anybody on here been to Carowinds yet this year ? So,does this park do the early entry ride(s) like Kings Island and Cedar Point for season passholders ? If they do, I'm assuming it is on Fury325,correct ? Thanks for any help you can provide.

Update: I visited Carowinds on Friday April 17th. Upon entering the parking lot I asked the lady in the ticket booth what the policy was regarding early entry for season passholders. Her reply was that the entire park opened 30 minutes early for season passholders at 8:30am since the park opened for the GP at 9:00am. I entered the park at 8:25am and made my way back to the area where FURY325 is located. Upon my arrival I encountered a barricade and one security guard at the entrance to the Waynes World section(not sure if it's still called that or not as I did not look at a map). I asked the security guard if there was early entry for season passholders. His response was "only on Saturdays and that varies from week to week depending on if management thinks the crowds will be huge".
Ten minutes before 9:00am security guard instructs the gathered crowd to line up in a single file line and when the nine o'clock hour arrives we will be WALKED back to Fury325 (no running allowed!) At 9:00am the barricade is opened and we are walked back to the ride entrance.
Crowds were light because of cool cloudy weather and I was able to ride a half dozen times within the first 30 minutes.
SHORT ANSWER TO ORIGINAL POST: Don't count on it

I was there Friday evening with local geeks and there was barely a line for anything. We rode Fury, ate, then power rode fury till 10pm.

Thanks for the crowd report and update about early entry. I'll be going May 3rd or 4th. Seems like the crowd levels are normal and the destination travelers are not flocking there.

Bummer about no early entry other than being at the front of the line.

My home park of Kings Island(100 miles away) has spoiled me apparently as I visited there at least a half dozen times last year and during each visit they were doing early entry and ride time for Banshee. The two or three years before that they were doing early entry and ride time for Diamondback which I absolutely loved. I was able to get at least 5 to 6 rides in before the GP came in plus Diamondbacks' location put you in an ideal spot to be one of the first riders on the Beast when it opened at 10:00am

Does Kings Island do early entry/walk backs for Beast or any other ride for ACE members still/this year (or is it annual pass holders)?

I plan to be there for rope drop on my visit later this year but need to know if I'll need to plan to be there earlier.

I believe that they stopped the walkbacks at KI when they started the
annual passholder early entry. It wasn't necessary, since you could
already get first in line for Beast by being inside the park. However,
there were some reports that at least for a time, they were letting
card-carrying ACE members in for that as well. (The one time I used the
early entry, I already had an annual pass, so I didn't try with the ACE
card..) Hopefully, others can tell you if they're still doing that. Or
call the park directly.

I visited Kings Island on May 2 and they were doing early rides on both
Banshee and Diamondback. Not sure if they are doing this during the week or just on weekends.

I don't think they're going to do it at Carowinds. And if they did, it would only be half an hour. There are no exit re-rides on Fury325. You have to exit the train and go around. However, if you spend the big bucks ($65) and get Fast Lane, then Fury325 will always be a walk on, because they don't let the platform fill with people.

Kings Island does the ERT on two rides, then you can walk on The Beast.

CP has the best early ride time, tied into their hotels and season passes. They can't duplicate this feeling at Kinds Island or Carowinds. It's hard to explain, but there's more excitement at CP regarding the ERT.

If you go to Carowinds or even KI, it's basically a B&M tour. At CP it's an Intamin tour with 2 B&Ms at the front of the park.
