Hey gang...

It has been a while since I posted on here, but you guys are always a wealth of information and I appreciate your feedback.

I am going to have about 5-6 days to spare in late June/early July to hit up some coasters, parks, mountain coasters, etc. I am dropping my kiddos off at a camp in Eastern Upstate New York and will be picking them up 5-6 days later.

So, I am looking for your feedback on must do parks, coasters, mountain coasters, etc. At age 50, I have no interest in killing myself to try and get credits. I love traditional parks..so there are some obvious options out there. I enjoy mountain coasters as well, but would gladly settle for the top 1-2 in the region. I am open to your feedback on New England parks and coasters as well as Eastern NY and Canada. Do any of the traditional parks in the region offer free admission and PPR these days? Also, I would welcome feedback on Youth Hostels, great Campsites, etc. I like to keep my lodging costs down. I have only really been to Great Escape, Compounce, and SFNE and it has been 15 years since I went to SFNE. I am not a huge fan of inversions, but will tolerate some of them.

Quassy is a good park for a short inexpensive visit. Wooden Warrior is well worth a visit (and like 10-15 minutes from Lake Compounce). Been a few years, but it’s something like $5 to park and then pay per ride (or armband) at Quassy.

Yes...been to Quassy long before Wooden Warrior...so that sounds like a must with ppr being an option.

I wish there was an rcdb-like site for alpine coasters specifically. I know they’re also listed on rcdb which is great, but due to how they’re typically set up, it would be cool not be able to just focus on alpine coasters when desired.

RCDB has search features, and mountain coasters is an option. You can even narrow the selection by state.

You search and find anything on RCDB, any type of coaster, any location, etc. It is easy to narrow down your search for specific information. I search on Just wood coasters sometimes, or just B&M, or in certain States, etc. Very useful.

Coast2Coaster pulls data from RCDB and them maps it + it adds in things like alpine slides and Bobkarts. You can use the filters to remove them or to look at them specifically.

That's why I went in my menus and disabled spell-check,
auto-correct, and all that other nanny-crap.

The answer is simple, but sadly, you're just too stupid to understand.

So, I am looking for your feedback on must do parks, coasters, mountain
coasters, etc.
My husband and I did a New England parks trip a couple of years ago and we
really liked Canobie. It just has a nice, pleasant, old-time feel to it even
though their coasters aren't standouts. Their arcade has pinball for a
quarter and it's actually in good condition, which you almost never see at
amusement parks. (This is only relevant if you're a pinball fanatic like I
am, but thought I'd mention it.) Second the recommendation for Quassy, which
we also both liked quite a bit. Wooden Warrior is a fantastic coaster.

As it happens, our planned coaster trip this summer is Canada's
Wonderland/Darien Lake/Seabreeze. I've been to CW but when I was a kid in the
1980s. Seabreeze is the real target park and has been on my list a while.

Anyone have opinions or ratings on the Mountain Coasters in New England, PPR parks or perhaps even carousels not in amusement parks?
